2000 FLUSHES® AND MAYOR GOODMAN TO AWARD $20,000 TO LAS VEGAS CHARITY

February 26, 2006

February 22, 2006

What will bring Marilyn Monroe, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman, 2000 Flushes® and five Las Vegas charities together tomorrow? A $20,000 donation to a local charity and a grueling game of “musical thrones.”

2000 Flushes, of long-lasting toilet bowl cleaning fame, will host the quirky competition in which 20 celebrity impersonators will play a game of “musical thrones,” played just like musical chairs, but using toilets. The impersonators will compete for the chance to donate $20,000 to his or her charity of choice from five participating organizations. 2000 Flushes and Goodman will then present the chosen charity a check for $20,000.

The participating charities are the Las Vegas Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Special Olympics Nevada, YMCA of Southern Nevada, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada and the Girl Scouts.

The event will be held at Fashion Show Mall and hosted by a local favorite, Elvis impersonator Brendan Paul. Celebrity impersonator game participants will include Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Marilyn Monroe, Tim McGraw, Gwen Stefani and more. At 1:30 p.m., the Fashion Show Mall’s great hall main stage, affixed with 20 toilets, will rise into view. After an introduction by “Elvis” (Paul), the impersonators will take their positions, and mall goers will be able to watch as the impersonators stay in the game by staying on the john.

In 2000 Flushes’ version of the game, as each impersonator is ousted, he or she will move to the 80-foot catwalk and do a two-minute performance in character for the audience. Following their performances, the impersonators will mingle and interact with the crowd.

At 3:30 p.m., the winning impersonator will announce the charity to which he or she would like to award the $20,000. At 3:35 p.m., Goodman and Garry Ridge, CEO of WD-40 Company (maker of 2000 Flushes), will present the chosen charity with the check.

Throughout the two-hour event, attendees will have the opportunity to enter to win a $10,000 bathroom makeover. Other prizes, including “mini bathroom makeover kits,” T-shirts and more, will be given away every 20 minutes. Additional prizes will be passed out by Ridge, who will be dressed as “king of the throne,” as he mingles with the crowd.

At the end of the competition, 2000 Flushes will donate the 20 toilets to the Las Vegas chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
